The current Nevada Penny Megabucks jackpot is over $16.1 million, while the Wheel of Fortune Special Edition total is over $6.1 million. Combine that with the upcoming Labor Day weekend visitor counts, and you have a recipe for game play that will push the jackpot total even higher.

The Wheel of Fortune Special Edition link features nickel game play on the new multi-player Super Spin video slots with the oversized spinning bonus wheel, as well as Wheel of Fortune Special Edition video slots with penny and nickel game play.

Meanwhile, when the current Penny Megabucks jackpot hits, it will set a world record for the largest penny jackpot of all time.

"This is a really exciting combination — a Penny Megabucks jackpot over $16 million and a Wheel of Fortune Special Edition jackpot over $6 million, both occurring over a holiday weekend," said Ed Rogich, IGT’s vice president of marketing. "I expect to see locals and visitors alike taking a chance at these life-changing progressive awards."

Introduced in spring 2005, Penny Megabucks’ 387 games in 111 casinos throughout Nevada will provide players plenty of chances to select a lucky machine this holiday weekend. A maximum bet of 300 credits is required to win the top progressive jackpot.

The Wheel of Fortune Special Edition link was introduced in March 2004, and Super Spin was added to it in March 2006. A total of 368 Wheel of Fortune Special Edition video slots are in 72 Nevada casinos, while 16 Nevada properties feature the Super Spin product.

A maximum bet of 375 credits is required to win the top progressive jackpot.

All IGT MegaJackpots are paid in annual installments upon verification, except MegaJackpots Instant Winners Jackpots and Rapid Riches MegaJackpots, which are paid in their entirety upon verification.

All jackpot amounts reported reflect totals as of Aug. 25, 2006.
