Now to finish up what we started last week, welcoming in another sure to be stimulating college football season.

Hopefully with more covers this go-around. To refresh your memory, last week we went with:

”¡ S. Carolina -6 at Miss State; Buffalo -6 vs Temple; Miami, Ohio +3 vs N’western; Minnesota -16½ at Kent and C. Michigan +13 vs BC.

Now for the rest of the story.

UTEP +1 at SD St (51): Carson Palmer’s younger brother can throw too. San Diego State has weapons to match. OVER.

Vandy +26 at Michigan (48): Never trust a Lloyd Carr team at home giving double digit points. Vandy, even without Jay Cutler, will be competitive. VANDY.

Memphis +3 at Ole Miss (40): The game opened at 5 so the heavy money is coming in on the visiting Tigers. I think the public is right. MEMPHIS.

N.Dame -7 at GT (50): A dangerous opener for the Irish, but Reggie Bell is been at QB for 10 years at Tech and he’s still mediocre. Brady Quinn will find a way. ND.

So Miss +20½ at Fla (46½): Even the Gators in Gainesville can’t give a quality program like the Golden Eagles that many points. SO MISS.

Cal +2 at Tenn (43): If on a neutral field, an insider told me Cal would be almost a touchdown favorite. I agree. CAL.

USC -8 at Arkansas (52): The Trojans still have that great defense, but it will take time to replace Bush and Leinart. The Pigs will play tough at home. UNDER.

FSU -3½ at Miami (40½): Everyone loves the Noles, knocking this one down from 6½. That line was crazy. This one I can handle. MIAMI.
