Golden puts ‘Midas
touch’ on Pahrump

Golden Gaming, Inc., last week completed its acquisition of the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall.

The Pahrump Nugget is perched on 38 acres at the intersection of Route 372 and Highway 160 in the heart of Pahrump. The property was built in 2001 and features 70 guest rooms, 553 gaming machines, 10 table games, a sports book and poker room.

Additional amenities at the rustic resort include fine and casual dining, two casino bars, live entertainment, bowling, banquet space, bingo and childcare facilities.

The acquisition of the Pahrump Nugget makes Golden Gaming one of the largest employers in Nye County with approximately 300 team members. Golden Gaming also operates the Golden Casino Group, Golden Tavern Group and Golden Route Operations.

Catering to the burgeoning Pahrump Valley and visitors from Las Vegas, the Pahrump Nugget offers a variety of table games, including blackjack, roulette and craps, plus 553 slot and video poker games.

Additionally, the property offers daily bingo and a 24-lane bowling center. Dining amenities include the Nugget Steakhouse, a fine dining restaurant; Golden Harvest Café, open 24 hours; and the Nugget Buffet, offering dinner selections.

Additional dining amenities include a food court comprised of Nicco’s Yellow Submarine, Dairy Queen and Orange Julius. Private banquet and meeting facilities are also available.

The Pahrump Nugget is the fourth casino in the Golden Casino Group. Other properties include the Golden Mardi Gras Casino, Golden Gates Casino and Golden Gulch Casino located in Black Hawk, Colorado.

The company’s Golden Tavern Group features 43 establishments including the popular Sierra Gold brand, PT’s Gold, PT’s Place and PT’s Pub, all in Southern Nevada; as well as Sierra Gold, Sierra Junction, Sparky’s Sports Bar & Grill, and Gold Bar Casino up north.
