Bob Farinella, who was responsible with the development and growth of horse racing and attendant slot machine operations in Iowa, has joined Nevada Gold & Casinos (UWN) as senior vice president and general manager of Tioga and Vernon Downs in New York State.

He is replacing Eric Persson, who resigned to pursue business projects in Las Vegas.

Farinella previously served as general manager of Prairie Meadows Casino and Racetrack in Altoona, Iowa, a property that he opened and managed through a $130 million expansion.

He also has been involved in casino projects in Illinois and at facilities operated by Native American tribes.

Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. (ISLE) has named John Bohannon as vice president and general manager of the company’s Isle of Capri-Black Hawk and Colorado Central Station properties in Black Hawk, Colo.

Stanley Ho’s Sociedade Jogos de Macau has hired Frank McFadden to oversee its business development in the Chinese enclave. McFadden most recently was chief operating officer of Venetian Macau Ltd., a property being constructed by Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
