Santa Fe Station has christened its new Santa Fe Express slot area, whose 46 $1 reel slots offer bonus jackpots with a multi-media twist: a lively bonus round driven by a railroad train!
The bonus round is right out of the Universal tour. Flashing lights, calls of "all aboard," the huffing and puffing of locomotives, railroad crossing arms, and animated pictures on TV screens let players know the bonus round has begun.
During the bonus round, winning combinations of up to 500 coins can be multiplied by two, three, four or five. With $1 denomination machines, that can be serious coinage!
The train, a replica of a contemporary passenger train, stretches 18 feet long and three feet high. The slot machines include Red, White & Blue, Double Diamond, Moolah, Wild Cherry and Sizzling 7s.
"Santa Fe Express is fun, eye-catching and exciting," said Steve Arcana, Santa Fe vice president and general manager. "We wanted to include something interactive on the slot floor as well as another way for our guests to win. With Santa Fe Express, we achieved our goals. It has already become a favorite among our regular players."
Players reap rewards with Cash Crop
WMS Gaming is at it again. The gaming machine manufacturer has introduced its latest multi-coin, multi-line video slot, Cash Crop, in Nevada casinos. Featuring an immediately recognizable theme song from a famous TV sitcom about two city folk who move to a farm, the game theme is based on a farmer’s trip to the county fair and entering the vegetable contest.
"Cash Crop fully incorporates a clever theme into an interactive gaming experience that is appealing to players," said Brian R. Gamache, president and COO of WMS Industries. "As we continue to expand our library of video games, Cash Crop adds more variety to the WMS product line with its unique bonus rounds and the instantly recognizable theme song. This game is another step toward honoring our commitment to make the games people love to play."
The slot game has a cast of colorful characters including Farmer Brown, a scarecrow and the cunning gopher. The amusing reel symbols include the vegetables, a county fair veggie basket, a ladybug, sunshine and an animated watering can, which serves as a wild symbol. This nine-line video slot is available in 9, 18, 45 and 90 coin configurations.
As with its previous success stories beginning with Monopoly, Cash Crop has a special base game bonus feature called Ladybug Pay. When three or more ladybugs appear as a scatter pay, 10 times the total bet is awarded.
Three farmers on an active payline activate the Harvest Bonus. The player must pick three vegetables while avoiding the sneaky gopher. If he’s successful, he moves on to the next, more valuable crop. Special silver and gold vegetables picked during the bonus round offer higher rewards.
When two identical vegetables and a vegetable basket align, Farmer Brown takes the vegetables to the County Fair. The player selects two challengers for the farmer to compete against. Their vegetables are ranked first, second and third. Bonus credits are awarded based on Farmer Brown’s place in the competition.
Cash Crop, approved by Nevada regulators, initially can be found in these Las Vegas casinos: Arizona Charlie’s West, Bellagio, Excalibur, Harrah’s, Mandalay Bay and Sam’s Town.
