Talk about a gamer!

We’ve been on Iona U for weeks now and finally the Gaels broke into the win column Saturday at home against Rider.

The 69-57 victory came as a 2½-point favorite. The pride of New Rochelle (NY) is now 1-22 overall, but 5-2 against the spread in the last seven Metro Atlantic league games.

Also, watch for Yale. The Eli are 4-0 ATS in the Ivy League after a 43-35 snoozer over Princeton, kings of the slowdown. Princeton began 0-4 ATS in the league.

FYI: UCLA and Arizona each answered with blowout home wins and covers after being soundly whipped the previous game.
