Problems mushroom
for slipping Zags

Remember the good old days when Gonzaga was cinderella and beating up the NCAA big boys.

Well, Cinderella never got caught with marijuana and tainted mushrooms. Star forward Josh Heytvelt apparently did and may have killed the Zags’ chances of doing anything in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

The epidemic in drug use and stupidity among college programs continue to rise. Maybe Vegas books will put a line out on the druggies as a prop bet.

On the court, UCLA did nothing to raise the Pac 10 image with its loss at West Virginia. The Bruins are now an unlikely No. 1 seed for the tourney. Our top 4 now are Florida, UNC, Wisconsin and Ohio State. Ask again next week.
