How do you hide a 23-4 team? Play in the Big South Conference.

Winthrop was featured last week at Missouri State in ESPN’s annual Bracketbuster Week, where lesser known teams near or at the top of their conference face each other to audition for the NCAA Tournament Committee.

The Eagles shouldn’t have to plead their case. Check out this resume — 13 straight wins, 17-of-18, losses by 7 at North Carolina, 3 in overtime at Wisconsin, 11 at Maryland and 20 at Texas A&M.

Not many Winthrop games make the big board because the books don’t trust the Big South.
