High-stakes pool!

The Normandie Casino in Southern California will host the World Pool Championships, March 27-April 1, featuring top players from the U.S. Pool Players Association’s Pro Tour.

The major pro 9-ball event is the season finale in which tour points are tallied and the champion crowned.

Top players include four-time World 9-Ball & U.S. Open Champion Johnny Archer; Canadian multiple-titlist "Machine Gun" Luc Salvas; The Philippines’ World 8-Ball Champion Efren Reyes; Finland’s World 9-Ball Champion Mika Immonen; and Germany’s World 9-Ball Champion Thorsten Hohmann.

Also scheduled to appear is 12-year-old pool sensation Landon Shuffett who, by winning the 2006 Lucasi Junior Championship, qualified for entry in the Pro Tour Championship.

Prior to the tournament, Normandie will host a Meet the Champions Party to benefit several charities.
