IGT promotes two engineers

International Game Technology (IGT) has announced promotions for two of the company’s engineers.

Rasoul Baghal is the new director of Mega Jackpots Engineering Support. Chuck Taylor is the new director of MegaJackpots, Logistics.

Baghal joined IGT in 1986 as a software engineer. Taylor has been with the company since 1992 when he signed on as a senior marketing analyst.

Dr. James E. Nave, a prominent Las Vegas veterinarian and a member and former chairman of the Nevada Athletic Commission, has been elected to the board of directors of Station Casinos Inc. (STN). Dr. Nave is president of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Tony Korfman, a veteran of 35 years in the casino industry, has been appointed vice president and general manager of the Edgewater Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nev. The Edgewater is a Mandalay Resort Group (MBG) property.

Also at Mandalay Resort Group, Yvonne Lewis has been named director of community affairs. She has been with the company since 1993, most recently as coordinator of public relations and community affairs.

Christer Roman has been named chief operating officer of the Gaming Systems division of Anchor Gaming (SLOT). He was CEO of Essnet, a European-based lottery systems supplier.
