IPT Machines. They are the rage these days and the Rio is the latest to join in giving race customers a taste of future betting from the horse racing angle. The Interactive Player Terminals allow players the ability to place bets from their seats and having every bit of racing information right in front of them.

"We have set up two machines, one in the smoking area and the other in nonsmoking," said David Pemberton, the Rio’s race and sports manager. "You can set up an account, create a pin number

and wager from your seat. Results, entries, trifecta pools are all available right at these IPTs. Players can set up betting accounts. I think everyone here at the Rio is really going to enjoy this." More on the IPT-Rio style in next week’s GT.
