‘Euro’ pool allows the bare minimum

On the Strip, the Flamingo Las Vegas "Go" and Lagoon pools are hosting Happy Hours, Monday — Friday from 4 p.m.—7 p.m. with music by Lefty Lucy and 2-for-1 drink specials on all frozen cocktails and Fosters Oil Cans. A special guest DJ spins music and Happy Hour guests have a chance to participate in lively contests including bikini bull riding and pole dancing.

For those who want to enjoy a European sunbathing experience, the new Flamingo "Go" Pool offers a relaxed outdoor oasis. You can "strip off" your inhibitions and dive in while enjoying specialty drinks, DJs and day beds. The topless pool offers daily Bacardi drink specials, private cabanas and an overall fun environment for guests 21 and over. There is a $20 cover charge for gentlemen, $10 for guests of the resort and no admission charge for ladies.

Who would ever think you’d see the name Wynn in a column about "cheap Las Vegas?" But alas it it true! Local Las Vegas seniors can get a discount on Monty Python’s Spamalot show at Wynn Las Vegas. Seniors over 62 can present their I.D. at the box office for 10% off on any performance. Groups of 10 or more seniors can get 25% off tickets and there are even some 2-for-1 tickets available for groups for select performances. Every Friday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Texas Station’s Oyster Bar celebrates "Happy as a Clam" Happy Hour with $1 bottled Bud or Bud Lights, $2 tropical mixed drinks and half-price appetizers. They also feature live music.

Nevada Palace, while in the process of becoming the new Cannery East, remains open and is still offering great food specials for Player’s Circle members (free to join) in the Boulder Café. For $4.99 guests can enjoy a fried shrimp or prime rib dinner or get 2-for-1 dinners on lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs or 2-for-1 chicken nuggets.
