Cubs sweep might force breakup of White Sox

It’s looking more and more like Bud Selig’s worst nightmare will happen. Barry Bonds is going to be baseball’s all-time home run king.

Just a matter of time and whether Bud can convince George Mitchell to subpoena BB on the ”˜roids’ issue. But don’t bet on it.

A better prop bet might be which comes first: Barry to 755 or Ozzie G getting the heave in Chi-town. The Hose has never been paler, losing three more to the Cubs and scoring just 2 runs. And you thought fire sales were limited to the Marlins!

Tops on the go-list are Jermaine Dye and Mark Buehrle. Both have value, even if Dye is a .230 hitter and MB is not quite what he was as the staff ace of 2005. They are the scapegoats that still carry value on the market. As for Guillen, it’s what have you done for us lately.

ChiSox at D’Rays: Buehrle 1.57 ERA in his last 3 starts and looking to up his trade value. SOX.

Yankees at Orioles: Live dog here with O’s best in Erik Bedard, who has fanned 121 in 100 innings.Clemens only so-so. ORIOLES.

A’s at Indians: Road weary A’s face hot Carmona. INDIANS.

Rangers at Tigers: Verlander off no-hitter may be -300 against oft-injured Jamey Wright. TIGERS.

Reds at Phils: Cincinnati is a different team with Harang, who is 8-2 this year. REDS.

Last week: 2-5.

Season: 59-38 (60.8%)
