Pahrump Nugget opens poker room

Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino celebrated the opening of its new poker room with a grand opening party last Saturday.

The new poker room features four poker tables and progressive jackpots in which gamers can try their luck. Plasma TV screens will be displayed throughout various locations in the room, showcasing current entertainment, sports, local and national news.

In addition, food and beverage service is available for guests playing in the non-smoking poker room, and they may choose from the full menu offered at the casino’s Golden Harvest Café, which is open 24 hours.

"Our new poker room was designed to offer guests the highest level of quality and comfort," said Jeremy Jenson, general manager. "The new room creates an inviting atmosphere in which all players, regardless of experience, will be comfortable and feel welcome."

To celebrate the new room Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino splashed a total of $777 into the live pots before the hands were dealt on Saturday, July 7. The dollar amount splashed ranged between $21 and $50, totaling $777 at the end of the evening.

In addition to the live games, hors d’oeuvres were served and there was t-shirt giveaways.

In addition to its new poker room, Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino offers a variety of table games including blackjack, roulette and craps as well as 553 slot and video poker games. Additionally, the property offers daily bingo play accommodating up to 185 players and a 24-lane bowling center.
