Blackjack players at the Palms’ new Playboy Club will have interesting choices next weekend: hit, stand or fawn all over the dealer.
On Saturday, August 4, actress and former Playmate Jenny McCarthy will become the first-ever celebrity Bunny Dealer at the new Playboy Club atop the Palms’ Fantasy Tower.
McCarthy will get back into Playboy Bunny uniform — the black leotard complete with cottontail, cuffs and collar — and deal blackjack from one of the club’s 10 tables.
"We are honored to have Jenny McCarthy as our first celebrity Bunny Dealer. She is an icon and great representative of the Playboy brand and I couldn’t think of a more perfect fit," said Palms owner George Maloof.
McCarthy first appeared in Playboy Magazine in October 1993 and was named Playmate of the Year in June 1994. Today McCarthy is regarded as one of Playboy’s most recognizable Playmates.
After completing a rigorous training process that includes custom costume fittings, dealing school, shuffling eight decks of cards and pitching from a shoe, McCarthy will hit the blackjack tables from 9 p.m. to midnight to deal cards for the general public.
From co-host of the popular MTV series "Singled Out" and the film "Dirty Love" which she wrote and starred in, to New York Times best-selling author, McCarthy has proven herself time and again as a film and television actress, comedienne, host, author and spokesperson.
McCarthy is currently working on her fourth book, "Louder than Words" anticipated for release this fall.
The Playboy Club will be open for its standard cover charge, which includes access to Moon Nightclub.
The Palms Playboy Club opened in October 2006 as the first of its kind in more than 20 years. In a scene that merges the past and the present, Philippe Starck-designed Baccarat crystal chandeliers illuminate gaming tables including blackjack and roulette.
Nearly the entire south wall of the venue displays the riches from the archives of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., across 60 plasma screens that capture moments ranging from centerfold shots to signature Leroy Nieman Art.
The club is entirely staffed by the iconic Playboy Bunnies including hostesses, cocktail servers and card dealers. The Playboy Club is open seven nights a week.
