Horses to Watch

KEEPING UP — This maiden filly was eliminated before the race even started when she became very fractious in the gate and then hesitated at the start to break last. She deserves another chance if Baze stays aboard.

SEA DAISY — She broke a step slow but quickly recovered; however, she was caught three-wide in the first turn before she settled back and made a good late run to close for the show. Look for her when she gets an inside post.

DANCE TOUR — Broke very slow from the rail and trailed early before she found her best stride and shifted out in the lane only to lose by a head-bob. Trainer has this one on edge for a winning performance.

STORNOWAY — This maiden filly is bred for the turf and will not be a maiden for long. She broke very slow to trail in her last start before she found her best stride while making a three-wide move on the far turn to take the lead in the stretch. However, she hugged in badly to lose by a half-length. Play her back with McCarron in the irons.

GREEN AND GREY — Gotta love these two year old sprinters going two furlongs. Last time she bobbled and broke awkwardly at the start to lose all chance. This one has all the right connections when it comes to these sprints and when she gets into the winners, she will reward her backers with double-digit dividends. Beware!

GUTHRUN — This French filly is bred for the turf. She broke slow and was bumped hard leaving the gate to trail early. She made a three-wide bid on the far turn but was too late to catch the leaders. Jay Robbins now takes over the training duties.
