Dec 24, 2007 2:42 AM

Show ticket deals, especially for Las Vegas locals during the Christmas season, can practically be a steal!

For instance, The Blue Man Group appearing at The Venetian is offering a "Blue-For One" special just for Las Vegas locals. Buy one ticket to the show and get a second ticket free for select performances through January. Plus each Blue Man ticket also comes with a free ticket to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. Call the Venetian Box Office and mention offer code: PB1 Local 241. The offer is limited to four tickets (two paid, two free) per purchase and certain blackout dates apply. You must present a valid Nevada I.D. when picking up tickets.

Rita Rudner, appearing at Harrah’s Las Vegas, is offering a local’s appreciation special of $20 tickets to all of her shows through the end of the year, based on availability. You must present a valid local ID when purchasing tickets.

Two-for-one’s for locals to see Stomp Out Loud at Planet Hollywood Casino are also being offered through the Box Office with a valid Nevada I.D.

Give blood and see Penn and Teller at the Rio for free. Through Dec. 31, Penn and Teller have teamed up with United Blood Services (UBS) to offer their annual free admission for two to see their show for all blood donors. UBS has five locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley at W. Charleston Blvd., Whitney Ranch Drive, W. Craig Rd., S. Eastern Ave., and E. Charleston Blvd. Call 702-233-9620 to make an appointment, but walk-ins are also welcome.

Need a last minute gift? Through Dec. 31, Morton’s The Steakhouse is offering a $100 free gift card when you purchase $500 in Morton’s gift cards. Ask your server or visit:

Hacienda Margarita at the Las Vegas Hilton offers early and late Happy Hours from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily featuring half price appetizers and half price Mexican beers, Tequila and Margaritas.

And to make sure you get home safe, free rides from Designated Drivers Inc. are once again being sponsored by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety and Ed Bernstein and Associates throughout the holiday week. Designated Drivers Inc. will be offering free rides through 5 p.m., Jan. 1. The usual fee for this service is $50-$60 depending on mileage. Call 702-456-7433 (RIDE) for more details. Enjoy but be safe.
