Foxwoods names stellar crew for Stargazer Casino

Now that it has its high-rollers Salon Prive in full swing, Foxwoods Resort Casino has lined up a solid crew of casino executives to market the new Stargazer Casino.

"Stargazer has provided us with an opportunity to present the finest table games experience available in the gaming industry," explained Bob DeSalvio, executive vice president of marketing.

Put in place with the marketing responsibility for the Stargazer Casino that sits on the 25th floor of the Grand Pequot Tower are:

Robert Chan, vice president of Asian marketing; Kooney Kim, vice president, Korean marketing; Gerald N. Longo, vice president, player development, table games; Frank Playo, vice president, player development, table games; Fernando Simoes, vice president, Latin American marketing, and Robert Smith, vice president, player development, table games.

The group was described as "one of the most experienced player development teams in the business."

John G. Maiella has been named director of catering at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino. He has been with Station Casinos Inc. (STN) since 1995 and most recently served as an administrative assistant to the executive chef at Texas Station.

Terry King has been promoted to manager of Club Razz at The Regent Las Vegas. A seasoned gaming executive, King was an executive casino host with the property prior to his most recent promotion.

Also at The Regent Las Vegas, attorney Sam Basile has assumed the role of general counsel and corporate secretary for the Summerlin property.

Tony Korfman, whose gaming career spans three decades, has become the new general manager at the Edgewater Hotel/Casino in Laughlin, Nev.
