LAST WK SEASON PCT

Let’s hype Memphis-Tennessee early. The top-ranked Tigers of John Calipari are now 21-0, while Tennessee is unbeaten at home and a Top 25 team all year. They meet Feb. 23 at Memphis.

Maybe my picks will turn better by then.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

Penn St +10 at Purdue: The first meeting at Penn State was won easily by Purdue as a pick’em, 64-42. Purdue has won six straight, State has dropped six in a row. PURDUE.

Florida +8 at Tenn: The young Gators were humbled at Arkansas and won’t want a repeat in Knoxville. UF is 9-4 ATS. Tennessee is 11-0 at home. Could go down to the wire. FLORIDA.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

NC-Char +7 at Dayton: NC Charlotte has covered four straight and a robust 12-4 ATS. Dayton is 11-1 at home, but overall just 1-4 ATS in its last five. CHARLOTTE.

UNLV -1 at Utah: Rebs catch Utes at right time. UNLV is 9-1 in last 10 and 5-2 ATS on the road. Meanwhile, Utah is only 4-5 ATS at Huntsman and a poor 1-4 ATS in last five. UNLV.

Duke +5 at UNC: Hold back Dickie V! This figures to be a two-game war where the points seem to be the way to go. DUKE.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Indiana -5 at Illinois: The Illini are better as a dog (3-3 ATS) than a favorite (6-10). Indiana is just 8-9 ATS and won the first meeting in Bloomington by just 4. ILLINOIS.

UCLA -1 at Wash St: Bruins are 5-0 ATS on the road and have covered 12 of their last 13. State lost the first meeting by 7 at Wooden Court and are just 4-6 ATS in cold Pullman. BEST BET: UCLA.

Friday, Feb. 8

San Fran +22 at St. Mary’s: The visiting Dons lost last week to St. Mary’s by 22 in Frisco. St. Mary’s is off an upset loss to San Diego and a nice 5-2 ATS at home. ST. MARY’S.

Saturday, Feb. 9

Marquette +3 at ND: Revenge game for the Irish, which were blasted by 26 in Milwaukee. The Irish are a stellar 12-0 home, while Marquette is just 2-4 ATS on the road. NOTRE DAME.

Ga Tech +10 at UConn: Shoe on the other foot after UConn went to Indiana and beat the Hoosiers. Tech is 5-4 ATS as a dog and could catch the Huskies napping. GA TECH.

Colorado St +16 at UNLV: The Rams lost by just 3 at home to the Rebels in the first meeting, but lost by 19 at BYU and 16 at Air Force. That’s right at the spread here we feel. UNLV.

Pepperdine +21 at Gonzaga: The Zags could be flat, having taken the earlier meeting in Malibu by 38! As for the visiting Waves, amazingly they are 8-3 ATS on the road. PEPPERDINE.

Sunday, Feb. 10

Clemson +11 at UNC: Great spot for the Tigers, catching UNC fresh off the rivalry game with Duke. Also, Clemson isn’t forgetting that bitter OT loss to the Heels. CLEMSON.

Monday, Feb. 11

Kansas -5 at Texas: The Jayhawks are a very human 3-4 ATS on the road and losers of two straight. Texas defeated UCLA on the road, is 10-1 at home after beating Baylor and is 3-2 ATS as a dog. TEXAS.
