BAY MEADOWS

CASSIE ANNE - This maiden filly was allowed to rate just off the pace before making her big move while being carried four-wide into the stretch. She will break her maiden next time out.

SINGULAR VISION - He was allowed to settle back early before finding his best stride while making a big three-wide move on the far turn and into the stretch, but it was too late to catch the leaders. Deserves another chance.

FLIGHT ZONE - Broke a step slow to lag behind early before rallying on the far turn going two wide and closed with a rush to just miss by a neck. Only needs a clean start.

HOLLYWOOD PARK

SENOR BILLY - Was allowed to settle back early while saving ground along the rail before making a big four-wide move in the stretch and battled three-wide to the wire to just miss. Should not be a maiden for long.

HOT AND SPICY - This young filly drew the extreme outside post, so she was allowed to settle back early while racing four-wide while finishing with some good late run. This Baffert maiden has a date with the photographer soon.

VALIANT WONDER - Stevens pulled this one back out of a four-wide speed dual and was shuffled back before finding his best stride, but while making his move he had to check very hard at the ¼ pole to lose all chance. Deserves another chance.
