Soul should stop Glads

Soul at Gladiators: Respect the huge strides the Gladiators (4-4, 3-3-2 ATS) have made since relocating from Sin City but the Soul are now AFL elite and Graziani is back on the active roster and backup D’Orazio was superb in his stead. Philly (8-0, 6-2 ATS) is coming off an epic matchup against Dallas on Monday so the Soul will either want to stay undefeated or avenge their first loss here. SOUL.

Saturday, May 3

Desperados at Destroyers: Dallas swept Columbus last year, winning in Ohio by nine (56-47). This year, the Destroyers (2-6, 3-3-2 ATS) are not as tough, with just one win (TB, 51-49) at Nationwide Arena. If the Soul can destroy the Destroyers by 21, Dallas – who locked horns with Philly on Monday night – should beat them by just about the same amount. DESPERADOS.

Rattlers at Avengers: Whereas the above two teams are on the upswing, these two Western Division teams are struggling in 2008 and have near identical stats: Rattlers (4-4 SU/ATS, -8.0 PPG); Avengers (3-6 SU/ATS -8.3 PPG). LA trounced Arizona (64-45) at home last year, has just one home loss and is quite simply a better team. AVENGERS.

Monday, May 5

Rush at Storm (ESPN2): The most disappointing team in indoor football, TB (3-5, 2-6 ATS), can now kiss any hopes of the playoffs goodbye with this crappy start. Chicago (7-2, 5-4 ATS) is not as good as its’ record or as it was in 2007 but the Rush – who may have to go with backup QB Michna the rest of the way as starter Bonner is out with a knee injury that may require surgery – allow 13.5 PPG less than the slumping Storm do. RUSH.
