by Mark Mayer | Saturday night’s race at Richmond could decide the champion of the Fiesta NASCAR Elimination Contest. What began back in February at the Daytona 500 has come down to just two contestants.

The competition involves selecting the winning car number from individual driver matchups. The contest results are based on the unofficial results immediately following the race, which this week will be late Saturday night. The results are posted each Monday by noon at both Fiesta Rancho and Fiesta Henderson.

The two remaining contestants will make one selection from the 10 matchups listed below:

#48 Jimmie Johnson vs #18 Kyle Busch

#88 Dale Earnhardt Jr vs #20 Tony Stewart

#24 Jeff Gordon vs #11 Denny Hamlin

#31 Jeff Burton vs #07 Clint Bowyer

#12 Ryan Newman vs #2 Kurt Busch

#29 Kevin Harvick vs #17 Matt Kenseth

#16 Greg Biffle vs #8 Mark Martin

#1 Martin Truex Jr vs #9 Kasey Kahne

#43 Bobby Labonte vs #42 Juan Pablo Montoya

#11 Denny Hamlin vs #07 Clint Bowyer

Kyle Busch won last week’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega, Alabama with Montoya (runner-up) posting his best-ever NASCAR finish. Stewart and Earnhardt Jr. own the most wins among active drivers at Richmond with three apiece.
