New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer said late last week that he will not try to close the state’s two existing Indian Casinos, Turning Stone and Akwesane casinos, because he believes the litigants who sued Gov. George Pataki had no intentions of threatening the two casinos.

Earlier this month, there was a state Supreme Court ruling that found gaming pacts with the state to be void.

Spitzer believes the suit wanted to stop the expansion of casinos in New York.
