One week after Arizona Charlie’s West won an award for Best Breakfast Special, it served the one-millionth $2.49 special.

The lucky diners were Leonard and Grace Ryan, who will receive a complimentary breakfast every week for a year in the Sourdough Café, as well as other gifts.

"We’re very proud to have reached this milestone," said Ron Lurie, executive vice president/general manager of Arizona Charlie’s West. "We are also thankful that we’ve had so much support from the Las Vegas community."

The $2.49 breakfast special is served 24 hours a day, and includes choices of top sirloin steak, two eggs, potatoes and toast, or the bone-in ham, two eggs, biscuit, hash browns and gravy.

Willy & Jose’s Cantina named ”˜Best’ in LV

Willy and Jose’s Cantina at Sam’s Town was recently named the Best Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas.

The Boulder Highway casino dining room has always been a favorite among locals, especially for their authentic Mexican cuisine.

Chips and salsa with margaritas are just the beginning at this festive cantina (reservations, 454-8041).

In keeping with the city’s spirit, you can feast on Casino Style Pizza, Roulette Poppers, beer-poached shrimp Tecate, and Northern Nevada Nachos - slow roasted chicken or zesty marinated beef on crisp tortillas with jack cheese.

Some of the chef’s favorites include blackened catch of the day, fire-roasted jalapeno and steak Willapelli and Crazy Monkey Burritos.
