HOLLYWOOD PARK

SNEAKY JACK: Hopped and was off slow. Was taken to the inside, saved ground and made a little late run to pick up the show dough. This girl likes this track. Will get the job done in her next start with a clean break.

HAPPY CELYNA: Broke well, but came wide into the stretch and lost a lot of ground. Did rally late, but all in all got a bad ride. Look for her to run big-time in her next start for new connections and a big jockey upgrade. $$$

BESTDRESSED: Exploded down the lane, while on the far outside and blew away the opposition in a super effort. This one looks like a repeater and loves this 7f distance.

LOTS OF SUNSHINE: This girl ran a much better than looked race as she was wide the entire trip. Kept to her task and was slowly gaining on those in front. Wound up losing by less than a length.

TURKISH VICTORY: Was in hand along the inside, but lacked room and checked. Took back to the inside and surged late, but missed by a nose in a race he was best.

LUTYENS: Chased from between horses around the turn, but was blocked behind a wall, After waiting for room, angled out, re-rallied and just did miss by a nostril in a big time try. This guy is in top form so look for another good effort.

USURP: Was last seen running second to Colonel John at the Oak Tree meet last October in his first start. He came back and ran a monster race breaking his maiden by 3Ĺ widening lengths. This guy can flat out run. Has the looks of a big-time horse.

CONCERTOSí THUNDER: Hadnít been seen since exiting a big key race at Keeneland last October and showed up here in the OíNeill barn. Ran good enough to win, but had the misfortune of facing the very live Usurp, Next time he will be a single. $$$

BRIAN THE BOLD: Deep closer broke his maiden on this course and should notch win No. 2 here if able to find some pace to chase. This one is sitting on a monster effort.

CAPTAINíS TURN: 25k maiden claimer fits at this price. If able to get a hot pace to make his later run, he could pop for low profile connections at a big price.

SAILORíS SISTER: Was making what looked like a winning move, but got in tight and forced to check hard off the pacesetter into the turn. Her jock had her all over the track, but she kept running till the end to finish a much better than looked third. Mark this girl down. $$$

BIG RED TATE: 4yo first-time starter obviously has had some major problems. His initial price was 275k and now he is running for 25k. He did look great on the track and made a huge late run down the lane to pick up the place. If able to stay in one piece, he could get that first win very soon.

BAY MEADOWS

CLASSIELYTE: Was boxed in the upper stretch, took back and went to the outside. Lost momentum, but somehow got going again and took off like a scared rabbit. Won going away in an amazing performance.

SQUALLCREEK: Shipped in from Santa Anita for trainer Gary Mandella, who has been shipping some live horse up North. This guy just ran these off their feet in the easiest kind of win. No claims so Gary got away with one here. Maybe he will place him in one of those claim-proof starter allowances. If so, dig deep and send it in.

UNUSUAL MEN: Came off the rail to make his run, but was caught behind the tiring front runner. Had to steady sharply, while falling back to last. Went to the outside and made another run to finish a good fourth.
