The Staples Center in Los Angeles should be supercharged for the Lakers contest with Utah. Before tip-off, Kobe Bryant will formally receive his Most Valuable Player Award. Not that the Lakers need much more incentive against Utah. They know the Jazz are superb on their home court and need a win tonight to "hold serve" in the best of seven game series. Overall, Los Angeles has won four of five against Utah this season (both straight up and against the spread), and have been perfect at home versus the Jazz – all three victories were by double digits. Expect Utah’s best shot tonight, but the Lakers should be up to the task. Incidentally, Phil Jackson’s teams have never lost a playoff series after winning game 1 (39-0). Lakers -6½
