At Hollywood Park, it was a tad chalky for a Friday night as they usually run some bombs in there in order to get a Pick 6 carryover, but not last night. In Race 1 we did hit the dime super box, but lost money in the process as the dollar super only came back $76.30. Our key horse in the second race ran third. We hit the tri in Race 3 and it paid $54.00 for a buck. We lost the fourth and fifth. We had the winner in the sixth and seventh but our horse in the eighth lost in a three-horse blanket finish after some trouble at 16-1.

At Bay Meadows our play in Race 1 got scratched. We ran first and second in Race 2 and 3. In the third, the winner came back and paid $21.60 with the exacta going for $50.80. Our key horse in Race 5 ran second and we were second in Race 6. We had the $13 winner in Race 7, but ran second again in the eighth.

Hollywood Park

Race 1

No. 5 Buzzin Mon exits a fast heat and is turned back in distance. This one will be flying late. No. 6 Mr. Inn Zone is moved way up in class following a bang up second in his first start. His trainer Spawr is on sharp cookie so all must be well with the Inn Zone. 5-6

Race 2

No. 3 Saracina loves this track as he record of two wins and a second out of three starts would indicate. No. 4 Crown of Diamonds gets her second start off the layoff and is one consistent filly. Looks set for a big effort. 3-4

Race 3

No. 2 Champs Elysees is 3-5 on the morning line and will go off at that or lower. You canít bet for or against him, but No. 1 Boule díOr will be the lone speed. Sometimes, if left alone, they can steel it. 1-2

Race 4

No. 3 Common Trust is the horse to beat, but after that anyone could pop at a price. No. 9 Ymustichasethecat is in top form and has won here in the past. No. 11 Nerinx was 9-5 against Common Trust. No. 6 Iza General will run better in this spot. 3-6-9-11

Race 5

The Frankel invader No. 1 Tybalt looks good in this spot, especially with Dominguez in for the ride. His main foe could be No. 5 The Big One at 8-1 with the top connections for Canani/Mercedes Stable. 1-5

Race 6

No. 1 Wings of an Angel hasnít been seen since Del Mar when showing good speed as a 2yo. This one could be live in here at 12-1 for trainer Paddy Gallagher. The No. 5 ran big in her first start as a 3yo showing good speed, but got caught late at 9-5. No. 7 Scout About will be closing late but will need a perfect trip. With Solis in the irons, he will never take the rail trip home. No. 11 Intouchable ran big on the grass, losing by a nostril in her last. If able to transfer the form to the Hollywood cushion track, she will be tough. 1-5-7-11

Race 7

No. 4 Bel Air Sizzle tries to win her third race in 16 days. Wow! The race came up tough despite the early scratches with No. 6 Sweeter Still the speed. This horse beat Sizzle back on April 5. No. 7 Gorgeous Goose was in that same race and just a nose behind Sizzle. The GB invader No. 8 Magical Fantasy looks like she has some class. 4-6-7-8

Race 8

This one looks like a two-horse race. No. 6 Smart Hit is double-jumped in class off the win. No. 9 Sorcerers Spell is a real tough 5yo gelding who always puts in that big late run. 6-9

Race 9

The red hot Bruce Headley (who got hot after giving Solis his walking papers) sends out No. 3 Street Boss, who ran a huge 106 Beyer last time. If he doesnít bounce, he wins. No. 2 Peace Chant ran second by a half-length in this race last year and looks like he is sitting on a good one. No. 5 Doppio is 2-for-2 on this course. His four wins out of five starts on the artificial surfaces (only defeat was at Keeneland) stands out. No. 6 Sailors Sunset won this race last year, has speed, and will be dangerous. Key 3.

Race 10

No. 3 Buck Basolo does best on numbers in here, but has had several shots. This is not the toughest of fields. Barry Abrams has two of his Unusual Heat horses entered, but the one I like is No. 13 Popíshands are Hot who gets in from the also list. If a horse called Carman wins the first at Bay Meadows, I would take a big shot with this guy. 3-13

Bay Meadows

Race 1

In this race we have the shipper No. 6 Carman, who just broke his maiden. This one he can flat out run and looks to have found a great spot for his second win. If he does win, then upgrade the chances of No. 13 in the last race at Hollywood. He ran right behind Carman last time out. 6

Race 2: All

Race 3

This one looks like a two-horse race with the 1 and 1A entry and No. 6 Spacy Tracy. 1-6

Race 4

No. 5 is a standout with his main danger being the No. 3 Bonk. 3-5

Race 5

No. 2 Beau Geni looks odds-on in here. 2

Race 6

Just another odds-on chalk in here. We canít bet against No. 2 Tioga Junction. The #10 Star of Madraar may be his main foe. 2-10

Race 7: 2-6

Race 8: 2-6-7

Race 9: 3-4-8

Race 10: 1-4-7-8

Donít forget to check for late scratches and changes.
