By GT Staff | Who says those slots at the airport are so tight that they never pay off? Not Mary Perez Rivera of Sacramento, California, who hit a $391,979 Wheel of Fortune quarter MegaJackpot at the McCarran International Airport late Saturday evening, May 10.

Rivera was on her way home from a family vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and was waiting for a connecting flight in Las Vegas. The lucky winner had invested just $10 when the MegaJackpot hit.

"When I found out how much Id won, my mind went completely blank," said Rivera. "I could not think about that much money!" The 71-year-old is retired and plans to donate a portion of her winnings to her church.

Since 1996, there have been 30 MegaJackpot hits at McCarran International Airport, with nine of the jackpots being more than $1 million.

The largest MegaJackpot came in January 2005 for $3,961,585.
