BERKMAN TOPS HOMERS AT 8-1

If you had the favorite Alex Rodriguez to lead the majors in homers, we’re sorry. A-Rod, now up to 15-1 in the latest Hilton odds, has just 4 HR and is scheduled to come off the DL for the Yankees this week. Leading is Houston’s Lance Berkman (8-1) with 16. Phillies 2B Chase Utley (8-1) dropped from first to second with 14. In third with 13 homers is Florida’s Dan Uggla, currently 40-1. Next is Pittsburgh’s Nate McLouth with 12. McLouth is part of the "field" category listed at 8-1. Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun (15-1) and Atlanta’s Chipper Jones (20-1) have 11. Chicago Cubs teammates Alfonso Soriano (100-1) and Derrek Lee (12-1) each have 10, as do "field" hitters Ryan Ludwick (St. Louis), Mike Jacobs (Florida), Josh Hamilton (Texas) and Carlos Quentin (ChiSox).
