PEACE ACCORD: Ran big to get the win in a 12-horse field. Claimed by Northern California trainer Morey, who has been on a buying tear of late. This one will probably be heading north, so keep an eagle eye open. Could pop first off the claim.

STREET MATCH: Squeezed at the start, got close to the pace but was taken five wide and lost position into the first turn. Came on again and drew away as much the best despite the wide trip. This one will be competitive.

SENSATIONAL SCORE: Ran a much better than looked race when caught down on the inside. Went to the outside, split rivals into the stretch and kept running until the end.

WARREN’S COOKIE: Just pulled her way after the break to stalk between horses. Got in tight and was steadied hard into the turn. Continued wide and came on for the place, but lost some of her punch from the early trouble.

LITTLE BRENDA: Broke sharp, but was quickly taken back to be next to last in an 11-horse field. She angled in on the turn but checked off heels and switched out for room into the stretch. Made a late run, but it was too little.

FOUL PLAY: If you were an Internet subscriber, you would have gotten this guy. Paid $26.20 in his first start off the long layoff. This one ran big-time and has the looks of a horse that can move up for his top connections. $$$

LEFT UNSAID: Put in a huge late run coming from last to just miss by the slimmest of nostrils in this 100k 1 1/16 maiden claimer. This one is ready for the maiden breaker and it just may be on the grass.

MISSION VIEJO HALO: This girl was one of the best plays so far at the meet. Was even money against stakes winner The Golden Noodle last June in a 2yo maiden race. She was off since, but came back at 16-1 in this straight maiden race off some very good work. She stormed home and won going away paying a whopping $34.20. On her way up the ladder. $$$

NO KA OI: This girl was claimed from Jack Carava for 32k by Julio Canani, who then won with her for 40k. She was reclaimed for the 40k by Carava, who raised her in class for the 50k price today in what was a troubled start. Canani reached back in, put up the 50k and re-claimed her. Wow! Will be all over this girl when she comes back for her next start. $$$

SNEAKY JACK: Looked good on the drop down, but she threw her head at the start and broke slow. It looked like curtains, but she came on strong and won going away. Look for another good effort off the claim on the move up in class.

COWBOY CRUISSER: Was checked repeatedly off heels of the winner leaving the half mile pole and lost all chance. This guy likes the track and will get a win before meet ends.

PRAIRIE CITY ROAD: First-time starter was just hammered at the window and when the gate opened I knew why. He just blitzed to the front and opened up what looked to be a commanding four-length lead down the stretch. Got caught at the wire, but was three lengths clear of the next horse.

NAKISKA: Very bad luck if you had a bet on this guy last time out at 9-1. He was squeezed at the start, fell far back and looked hopelessly beaten. Somehow he got going late and made a big run to pick up the place. Next time with a clean trip. $$$

DRY MAN’S GULCH: If you had a bet on him at 9-1, you would have gotten at least the place. He broke straight in the air and trailed in a 12-horse field until the second turn when he unleashed a big late run to finish fifth. $$$
