Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics –6 (174 total)
So much for the "home team can’t lose" angle, since each of these combatants has stolen one of their opponent’s floor. Tonight’s contest should come down to how each team’s "Big Three" performs (I hate that designation) because there are some injuries to role players and the supporting cast lately haven’t provided much support. You would think Boston returning home should have an edge, but they have problems with Ray Allen and Sam Cassell playing inconsistently (or outright poorly), and to put the team on the backs of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett might be too much to ask. Especially if Detroit’s top players step up again, which is the more likely scenario, even though Chauncey Billups continues to struggle with his injuries. Nonetheless, the points are attractive here in another low-scoring affair. Detroit +6, Under 174.
