San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers -8 (193½ total)
The Lakers will seek to finish off the Spurs tonight. Even with a 3-1 series lead, it’s unlikely coach Phil Jackson will even entertain the possibility of returning to San Antonio, which could lead to a game seven. Given the Lakers’ talent, they should be able to prevail tonight and cover the somewhat high number. San Antonio would need top efforts from their so-called stars, Duncan, Ginobli and Parker, as well as substantive contributions from role players such as Finley and Bowen. But, since they rely so heavily on the 3-point shot, you can’t expect San Antonio to amass the points in clusters they’ll need to keep up with the Lakers, who should be hitting on all cylinders on their home court. L.A. Lakers -8.
