At Kansas City, 4:10 p.m. PT

Indians -165 vs Royals (8)

(CC Sabathia vs K. Davies)

Some bettors like using the contrarian approach which argues that Kansas City will find a way to end its 12-game losing streak. Others will prefer to press the odds ala blackjack until the Royals lose. Well head for the middle ground in this case since Cleveland has shown a reluctance to score much when its ace C.C. Sabathia takes to the hill. CC will face Kyle Davies, the former Atlanta Braves pitcher who makes his first start this season for the Royals.

The losing streak has KC bickering internally and the unrest has contributed to an anemic offense. KC has been held to three runs or less nine times during the 12-game slide. Cleveland has been no great shakes either, losing 10 of its last 13. However, the Tribe has won two of its last three including the opening game in this series and may be ready to launch a climb back to the .500 mark. Cleveland is just 4-7 in starts by Sabathia, but hes not to blame. In his last three starts, CC won 2-0, lost 4-1 and 2-1. Still with KC in a scoring funk, CC is fully capable of throwing a shutout and hanging 13 on the Royal Flushes. INDIANS.
