by GT Staff | While IGT dominates the slot market with its wide-area progressives, Aristocrat Technologies has joined the fun with its Loco Loot linked progressive jackpots.

So far in 2008, Loco Loot has paid nearly $1 million to 20 lucky players in U.S. casinos, and more than $5 million since the jackpot’s inception. Jackpot awards range from $13,964 to $115,451.

Some of the recent Nevada winners include a slot player who hit a $37,000 jackpot at Terrible’s Casino in Pahrump; another who hit $17,800 at Club Cal Neva in Reno; and a third who cashed in for $56,000 at Tamarack Junction, also in Reno.

"Players have embraced the Loco Loot product with the Reel Power base game and its second screen interactive jackpot feature," said Sean Evans, senior VP president of sales for Aristocrat.
