Detroit Red Wings at Pittsburgh Penguins (G6) (NBC): The Penguins were 11-0 in the postseason when scoring first up until the Game 4 on Saturday when the Red Wings rallied from a 1-0 deficit at The Igloo to win 2-1 and seemingly take a stranglehold on this series. Pittsburgh stepped up big when it had to on Monday, forcing this pivotal game in the Steel City the Pens need to win to force a Game 7 on Saturday night.

Despite the play of Red Wings’ super forwards Maltby and Zetterberg, Pittsburgh has hung tough although it looks overmatched against this grisled group of hungry vets. One vet they have failed to crack is goalie Chris Osgood who, thanks in great part to the Winged Wheels defense, has continued his postseason excellence when it matters most.

The thought on this one is that if Pittsburgh could find the intestinal fortitude to force this Game 6, then they certainly have enough will to find a way to win again here at home – a place where it had reeled off 17 straight wins before Saturday night’s loss, and gone an impressive 9-1 in the playoffs after that 2-1 setback.
