HOLLYWOOD PARK

Race 1

I like two horses in this race, No. 3 Beyla who has won two of three starts on the synthetic and now is stretched out by trainer Mike Mitchell off the win. No. 5, Plata Quemada just won on this course at this 1 1/16 distance, she is in top form and should give another good account of herself. 3-5

Race 2

Trainer Jeff Mullins has two entered in here Ė No. 3, Real Lift who is a win machine and No. 5, Annís Plan who he drops from $45k to a $14k price. Normally that would scare me off especially since Annís Plan also loses Tyler Baze and now gets Arambula in the irons. Mullins did claim this girl for $12,500 so she is still above the claimed price and he did get a win with her for $20k. The main danger could come from the recently claimed No. 7, Gold Datnoid, as her new connections of Espinoza/Monteleone have been gold together when they hook up. 3-5-7

Race 3

No. 1, Medzendeekron, and No. 3, Dakota Padre, both look the fastest in this 6f turf sprint. I like the fact that jockey Flores gets back aboard No. 3 Padre, he will show a little more kick today with Flores in the irons. 1-3

Race 4

It was a search but this $12,500 claimer for horses that have never won two races just came up empty for me as they all stink. I will take a shot with some horses exiting the same race and key on No. 6, Eddie Munsta, who gets his second start off the layoff for trainer Mullins who puts up one of his go to riders Clinton Potts. The others our of the race that have a shot are No. 7, Run Forest Run, No. 9 Scotts Poppy, No. 10, For The House and we will toss in No. 14,Six Again who drops back to his original claimed price by trainer Puype and he may get a real good trip from his far outside post.

Key Play

$4 key Q 6 with 7-9-10-14 for $16

10Ę super box 6-7-9-10-14 for $12

Race 5

No. 3, Buck Basolo, just did miss on this course going a flat mile in his last start losing by a nostril in a head bob. He now gets a little longer distance and if jockey Nakatani can keep him out of trouble he looks tough in here. No. 11 Apoplectic gets back on the grass where he has run all his best races. No. 4, One Chin Again, exits the Snow Chief stakes where he ran huge at 42/1, if that race didnít do him in he will be right there. 3-4-11

Race 6

In this six horse field we will go with No. 2, Kielbasa, and No. 5, Muscleín Mane, they both ran together last time out when finishing second and third behind the winner Nimaís Pad, they could finish first and second today in this bad field. 2-5

Race 7

This mile turf race is just loaded with speed, either someone will get away or the front runners will do each other in, but who will be closing if that happens. No. 3, Marenka, was a closer and or stalker in her native France but did not run a step in her first start in the states when she broke slow and was far back and stayed there. Top turf jock Valdiva gets on board this time out so look for much better today. No. 5, Heathersdaddysbab, is another speedster but jockey Bejarano just may take her back and sit today, if so she wins. 3-5

Race 8

In these $40k, 2yo claiming races, anything can happen, I will probably leave and head out and have some wine and dinner but if you just want a little action take a stab with 3-4-5-6

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

Race 1

Three of the seven here exit the same race: No. 1, Jimmy Da Brick, No. 5, Mark The Bench and No. 7, Bluejeans Blackties, all ran good and anyone of them could improve and get the win. The chalk in here will be No. 6, A P Answer, with Baze riding for Hollendorfer; you will need to beat him to get the cash. I love to beat Baze so I will go with longshot No. 7, Bluejeans Blackties, at 15-1.

Key Play

$10 win and place No. 7 for $20

Race 2

This race could set off a blue daily double as we have No. 6, Youíre My Boy Blue, who looks set for a big effort on the drop. The Steve Sherman trained No. 3, Fox in the House, has big time speed and looks live in here. 3-6

Key Play

$2 double for $20 total

Race 1: 1-4-5-6-7

Race 2: 3-6

Race 3

Here the main contenders are No. 3, Moogie, who takes a big class drop and come-backer No. 7, Our Tori. 3-7

Race 4

In this $8k maiden claimer going a flat mile, three in here will battle it out on the front end, so someone will be flying late trying to pick up the pieces. No. 1, West Forty, No. 6, River Bold and No. 8, Princely Gift will all come out winging, so who will come late? I donít think it will be No. 2, Talk Show Tony, who is 0 for 42 but it could be either No. 3, Prince Meyer, who gets off the grass and takes a huge drop in class from $32k to $8k. No. 4, Beek of Cairo, gets his first start for trainer Hollendorfer and could look much improved with this bunch. No. 6, River Bold, could be the speed that holds on so we will use both. 4-6

Race 5

With 2yo fillies running 4 Ĺ furlongs for a $20k claiming tag, danger Will Robinson danger; this is one of those races where you need to watch the betting. If you canít letís go with the Tommy Town entry of 1 Be Lifted High and 1a Raja Daja, both of which look live. No. 4, Trudyís Bianca, is dropped in class by trainer Hollendorfer and gets Baze for start No. 2. 1-4

Race 6

In this wide open $20k maiden claimer for 3yo trainer Steve Sherman has two entered and they are not an entry, No. 4, Hexbreaker, and No. 9, Huntin Fool, both exit the same race and both look tough. 4-9

Race 7

With 3yo fillies going a flat mile on the grass, No. 1 Teachers Rule gets a great post and ran big on this layout May 22. No. 4, Brahms Babe, donít look like much on paper but is stretched out by the sneaky Mason and could be one live piece at 15-1. 1-4

Race 8

This is one bad field of $8k maidens going a mile on the poly track. I loved No. 3, Latin, last time out but he just did not run a step, he gets a rider change and I will give him one more chance. No. 4, Right Approach, beat the three last time out, gets blinkers on and has the looks of a horse on the up tick. 3-4
