DeLeon -170 vs Lopez +150

A change of pace in our recommendations was hinted at in last weeks GamingToday edition by Hall of Fame boxing writer Michael Katz. The Daniel "Ponce" DeLeon-Juan Manuel Lopez world superbantamweight title fight is the co-feature to the Kelly Pavlik-Gary Lockett middleweight title bout. Since Katz said Lockett had as much chance to win as Grenada did against the U.S., which supports the ridiculous -2000 price at the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook, well turn to the other main event.

This should be worth viewing, with only one loss between the two fighters. Lopez is a live underdog against the champ, posting a 21-0 record with 19 KOs. DeLeon, a southpaw, has an equally impressive mark of 34-1 with 30 KOs. The one flaw in DeLeons arsenal is his occasional knack for leaving himself exposed in throwing punches. That is something a knockout specialist like Lopez could exploit. With the high buy-back price, taking the dog is certainly worth the shot. LOPEZ.
