Wednesday, June 11 results

At Hollywood Park we lost the first three races, had the winner in race four but lost our Twin Q when our key horse did not fire – the ones we used underneath ran first, second and third and naturally we hit the second leg. We did win the last three races and hit our key late Pick Three. At the Gate we swept the card including running first, second, third and fourth with our selections in race four.

HOLLYWOOD PARK

Race 1

No. 3, Doneitagain, has run two big races on the grass and now tries the cushion surface on the drop. No. 4, South Bay Scoty, had run all good races on the synthetic and then was stretched out on the grass and failed miserably, if his brain didn’t get fried from that race he should revert back to his good form. 3-4

Race 2

For 2yo going 5 furlongs, trainer Wesley Ward is the master when it come to these type of races and he has the No. 5, J B Wine, who looks like a short priced winner. 5

Key Play

$10 double for $20

Race 1: 3-4

Race 2: 5

Race 3

On Wednesday Minister Blair moved up off the win and won big again for $80k; in here, the two horses that he beat No. 2, Leesider, and No. 6, Souvenir Slew, may be the play in what is a very wide open six horse field. 2-6

Race 4

Hall of Fame trainer Jack Van Berg doesn’t win many races any more but could pop in here with No. 10, Famous Touch, who has been knocking on the door and just may have found a weak enough field he can handle. The No. 2, Prince of Darkness, gets blinkers on, loses Solis and picks up the hustling Pedroza which could all add up to a trip to the winners circle. 2-10

Race 5

I really like trainer Molly Pearson and she ships in No. 9, Taulin, from Turf Paradise and at 10-1 in the morning line we will be betting. 9

$20 win and place on No. 9 total bet $40

Race 6

No. 7, Bala Rapida, gets off the grass and drops from the straight maiden ranks to a $25k maiden claimer, that should get this guy to the winners circle. We will use him on top with four horses underneath and play a trifecta.

$1 tri key for $20 total

7 with 5-6-8-10-11 with 5-6-8-10-11

Race 7

The entry of No. 2, America’s Friend, and 2B, Christiana’s Heat, look very formidable in here and we will key them in the late pick three. 2

Race 8

As these 2yo California Bred maidens are going 5 furlongs, this one is up for grabs. The No. 3, Fassnacht, ran big despite trouble in his last start which was the W. Proctor Memorial, he will most likely be even money in here. No. 1, Triumphant Flight, looks ready to roll off some very impressive works for a 2yo, he will be gunning from that inside post and try and take these wire to wire. No. 8, Tiz Again Roused, could be very live in here with some sneaky work outs. 1-3-8

$10 Pick Three for $30

Race 6: 7

Race 7: 2

Race 8: 1-3-8

$2 Pick Three for $18

Race 6: 7

Race 7: 2

Race 8: all

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

Race 1

3-4-6

Race 2

1-2-3

Race 3

This really looks like a two horse race with No. 4, Change Your Mask, and No. 5, General Dan, who both exit the same highly rated turf race, we will key both in the early pick four. 4-5

Race 4

The No. 1, Beau Geni, will be odds on in here and looks like the clear winner but so did Big Brown, we wont toss but we will try and beat her with No. 4, Dublin Rain, who ran behind Geni last time out in her first try on this poly track, she now gets a new hustling jock and will be much closer to the pace today. 1-4

$1 Pick Four for $36

Race 1: 3-4-6

Race 2: 1-2-3

Race 3: 4-5

Race 4: 1-4

Race 5: 2-3-4-7

Race 6

Trainer Lloyd Mason looks ready to pop with a longshot in this race as he has two entered here and they are not coupled. No. 4, Control Seeker, and No. 6, Jay Jay Moon, will use both in the rolling doubles and the last Pick Three.

$2 double for $16

Race 5: 2-3-4-7

Race 6: 4-6

Race 7

Trainer Morey drops No. 5, Wings of Freedom, to where his speed will be very dangerous on the front end, catch him to cash. 5

Race 8

No. 2, Mr. Eddie Boy, has won two of three on this grass course, drops and gets a good turf rider in Bisono, this looks like the money run. The Jerry Hollendorfer entry of No. 1, Like a Tiger, and 1A, Cowboy Cruiser, appear to be the main danger along with speed ball No. 5 Vote. 1-2-5

$2 Pick Three for $12

Race 6: 4-6

Race 7: 5

Race 8: 1-2-5
