Yesterday’s results

At Hollywood Park we ran first and second in race one but our key horse in race two ran second in a troubled trip – that cost us our ten dollar double. We lost the next three races. In race six our key horse, Bala Rapida, won but we blew our trifecta, and to make things worse our key horse in race seven was stuck down on the rail and got clear too late and lost by a nostril – that cost our late pick three as we ran first and second in race eight. At the Gate, we had the winner in race one but ran second in race two which cost us the early pick four since we won the next two races. We had the $29 winner in race five but ran second in race six and that cost us a monster double. Our key horse won race seven and we ran first, second and third in the last race.

Hollywood Park

First post 7:05 pm

Race 1

No. 4, Warren’s Yodler, exits a key race and gets off the vets list, he also gets blinkers on and it looks like they are pulling all the stops to get the win in this very weak $25k maiden race. No. 5 Ringmaster has failed in twenty attempts but looks like a good one to use in the second and third spots in the exotics. We will make a tri using Yodler on top with Ringmaster second and third.

Key Play

$1 tri key 4 with 5 with all for $7

$1 tri key 4 with all with 5 for $7

Race 2

No. 4, Terrajazz, ran ok last year in her 2yo season and looks like a good price play in here at 12-1 in the morning line. No. 5, Dumaani’s Gold, lost last time as the chalk and will be over bet once again. No. 8,Topaz Moon, turns back in distance for trainer Sadler and he has lost two straight as the big chalk. No. 9, Afternoon Gold, ran big last time out and could be sitting on the win at a nice price. 4-5-8-9

Race 3

In this race the No. 1, Mr. Chairman, No. 4, Dr. Zaentz and No. 6, Brian the Bold, all exit the Comoros race, and he came back to win big again, we will box the three in the exacta.

Key Play

$5 exacta box 1-4-6 for $30

Race 4

The No. 1, Lighten Up Rule, gets his second start off the Mike Mitchell claim so beware as he does not drop him back to the original claimed price. The girl to beat in here is No. 5, Too Phar, who has run back to back big races losing by ¾ of a length and by a neck, she always makes her late run and looks like a very good bet in the exotics first and second. We will play a trifecta using both picks with all and a double from race three. 1-5

Key Play

$5 double for $30

Race 3: 1-4-6

Race 4: 1-5

$1 tri race four 1-5 with 1-5 with all for $10

Race 5

These $8k claimers for older horses can be dangerous; we will take a shot and go with the three horses exiting the Celtic Sword race: No. 2, Si Chimi, No. 3, Bewithcing Bartok, and No. 13, (since it is Friday the 13th) and we will toss into the mix No. 9, The Unclean Spirit. 2-3-9-13

Race 6

If only Nakatani were not riding the No. 1, Cambridge Blue, we could take a big shot with this colt. But coming out of the rail post he will only get this guy in trouble. He will take back and make a big late run and we will just have to hope he moves soon enough. We will single him in the last Pick Three. No. 1

Race 7: 2-3-7

Race 8: 2-3-5-6-7-11-12

Key Play

$1 Pick Three for $21

Race 6: 1

Race 7: 2-3-7

Race 8: 2-3-5-6-7-11-12

Golden Gate Fields

Race 1

Blinkers go on No. 3, Port of Entry, and that may get her closer today in her second start but she will have to beat No. 6, Deanne’s Ring, who she ran behind last time out. 3-6

Race 2: 1-4-6

Race 3

No. 2, The Royals Court, is 3-5 in the morning line; we can’t bet on him and we can’t bet against.

Race 4: 2-5-8

Race 5: 4-7-8

Race 6

It is ironic that in this race I like No. 4, Blue Reason, who looks well-placed off the recent maiden breaker; and in the next race I like No. 4, Working Man Blues, it must be Friday the 13th. We will make a double and a late Pick Three keying on the two blue horses.

Race 7

Mike Mitchell and super owner Bob Bone ship in No. 4, Working Man Blues, off back to back wins, he finds another filed that he could handle with one exception the No. 9, Captain Roy, who just ran a huge race behind Sky Cape, these are the two. 4-9

Key Play

$10 double for $20

Race 6: 4

Race 7: 4-9

Race 8

There are seven listed in the last leg of the late Pick Three and we will use them all and hope we are alive and get a good price here. All.

Key Play

$1 Pick Three for $14

Race 6: 4

Race 7: 4-9

Race 8: all
