Station Casinos adds to Euro Cup wagering

by Mark Mayer | Starting Thursday all Station Casinos properties, including the hub at Red Rock in Summerlin, will be offering first and second half wagering on the European Cup soccer tournament running through June 29 in both Switzerland and Austria.

Station Casinos will also be providing wagers on extra time, penalty kicks, a three-way prop featuring a regulation time draw, and total goals through the 90 minutes / injury time. The first game to use the extra wagering will be Thursday’s quarterfinal matchup between Portugal and Germany.

"The three-way prop where the draw is an option really adds a great deal to our bettors, who have been actively following the Euro Cup," said a spokesman for the Race and Sports Book at Green Valley Ranch. "The limits are low, but wagering has been surprisingly brisk. It has been mostly Europeans betting the games."

Here are Station Casinos lines for the games leading up to Thursday:

Italy -135 vs France, total 2½ (un -130)

Romania -½ (+110) vs Holland, total 2½ (un -125).

Sweden pick’em (-130) vs Russia, total 2 (ov -140).

Spain -½ (-150) vs Greece, total 2½ (un -110)

Already clinching berths in the quarterfinals are Portugal, Croatia, Holland, Spain, Germany and Turkey. A Romania victory Tuesday over Holland, which has nothing to play for, would eliminate both France and Italy.

These were the latest odds for winning the Euro Cup, courtesy of Caesars Palace:

Germany 3-1, Spain 4-1, Portugal 4-1, Holland 5-1, Croatia 8-1, France 8-1, Italy 10-1, Sweden 20-1, Romania 25-1, Greece 28-1, Turkey 40-1, Russia 50-1.
