At Hollywood Park
Night racing triggered another Pick 6 carryover so we will be covering it today. As for my selections, I should have stayed home and used the money to buy gas. We did run first and second in Race 2 with the $2 exacta paying $64. In Race 6 we ran first and third. That was about it.
At Golden Gate
There is also a Pick 6 carryover, which we will attempt to hit today. It was bombs away up North. We got beat by a $90 horse in our key play in Race 6 and our single in the last race ran crazy and finished next to last.

This is the first leg of the Pick 6 and we will use No. 7 Lauren C, who gets David Flores back in the irons. The only time he rode this 3yo filly resulted in a win. No. 8 King City Kitty exits a strong race and goes from 7f back to 5½. She will have a lot left down the lane today. 7-8
Trainer Jeff Mullins is very good first off the claim and he has been sitting on No. 6 Johnny High Brite since last July when he red tagged him for $12,500. It is a very good sign that he brings him back in this spot for a 16k tag so look for a big effort. No. 13 Grits drops a tad for O’Neill and takes his blinkers off. He will be flying late and could tag them all. 6-13
There are several in here exiting the same race, the three with the best shot are No. 1 Orientate Slew who goes from post position 12 last time going a flat mile to this inside post. He will get a great trip if Solis can keep him clear. No. 6 Rumba Along will be out winging once again. My HTW horse No. 7 B’s Lucky Strike may have been best last time, but had a ton of trouble. He wins today with a clean trip. We will use all three in the Pick 6 and make a win bet on the 7 in this race. 1-6-7
$20 win No. 7 = $20
No. 1 Tolnai gets a confident boost in class second off the claim. He also gets a great post and blinkers added. He’s the one to beat. The horse that could be dangerous at a price in here is No. 9 Candlestick Park, who has been shopping for a race and shows up here for Mullins. Look for a big late run from this win type. 1-9
No. 7 Quick Enough is the only one in here with more than one win. He has three including, a big win last time out on the cushion track. He can handle the grass and looks very tough in this spot. We will single this one. 7
We must go deep in here and make a four-horse spread. We will use No. 3 Adhere, who just missed last time out, No. 4 A Lil Dumaani who drops from the straight maiden ranks, No. 7 Excessive Dreamer who has some real good speed and No. 8 Carmens Excess who gets blinkers on and will be tracking them to the wire. 3-4-7-8
$2 Pick 6
9th 3-4-7-8 = $192.
Ten races today at the gate so we will start here with leg one of the Pick 6. No. 1 Nosey Britches is the speed on the rail and will have to be caught with Baze up. She will be a short price. The danger could come from No. 7 Thisonesforbart, who has ran second four times here on the poly and looks due for some luck. She will be making her usual late run. 1-7
No. 5 Castle Dermot is always there and when Baze rides for Mason that is usually a go sign. No. 2 Scrumpy is a win machine and loves this track. 2-5
No. 1 Lightmyfirebaby is in from Hollywood for trainer Abrams and looks live in this spot. No. 2 Bellsblade just won on this course and looks tough right back. No. 9 Tutta Bella is another shipper in from Hollywood out of the Sadler barn and loves to win races on the grass. 1-2-9
No.2 Dead Heat scored big when shipped here and dropped to the bottom. He looks to be well placed off that win. No. 3 Bens Starry Night will make his usual good try for Miyadi, who has two in this race. The other is comebacker No. 6 Breezy Johnny. 2-3-6
Searching for a single we will go with No. 1 Sword Legend, who was part of the Miyadi entry. Since Miyadi scratched the other half, he must like this one’s chances. 1
No. 2 Trail Blazer looks like he will take nicely to the grass. No. 7 Mister Stanky won his last on the grass and now has won three of seven lifetime starts. 2-7
$2 Pick 6
10th 2-7 = $144.
