Rangers -110 vs Nationals (8½)

The Texas Rangers look to climb over the .500 mark and take the best of 3 series. Chances for this appears good with righty Vicente Padilla trying for this 10th victory in 13 decisions. Padilla has an excellent 3.73 ERA and Texas is 10-3 in his starts. The Rangers are 19-21 on the road, but that represents the fourth best mark in the AL away from home.

The Nationals come off a 13-3 drubbing last night against the Rangers and are just 15-22 in their new ballpark. John Lannan has been the hard luck pitcher on the staff, losing his last four decisions without run support. The Nationals have averaged just 2.3 run in Lannan’s 14 starts – the lowest run total in the majors. Lannan has not allowed more than two earned runs in each of his last four starts. Runs should be a premium today so a parlay may be in order. RANGERS / UNDER.
