by Kevin Stott | Turkey vs. Germany (-1 -140, 2½u -120) (11:45 a.m., ESPN/ESDPN Deportes): This is a very tough game to handicap and the way the Turkish team has rallied from behind three straight games, it may be worth a shot to seek them out on the money line (opened +500) if you think they can win this one – I seriously think they have a decent chance and one thing is certain, they certainly believe they can make it to the finals. With the side being a tough pick here, let’s look at the total of 2½u, -115…

My feeling is the pace will be quick early as Germany will expect to go up 1-0 while Turkey will try and get that first goal to grab the momentum. I think Turkey should gobble up at least one goal while Germany should be good for two, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Turkey got the two and held Germany to just one (If you like that logic, check out the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook’s prop bet that yields 20-1 odds for a 2-1 Turkey win.

Either way, I think the OVER 2½ may be the best of all angles here, but if Turkey’s defense somehow stifles Germany’s offense, you can kiss that theory goodbye. Not a big play – the money to be won in this tourney was to be won in the Group Stage – but the OVER is our call in this first semifinal. Prediction: Germany 2 Turkey 1.
