Georgia -155 vs Fresno St (12)

In what has been a thrilling CWS, Georgia rallied from a 6-3 deficit with four runs in the eighth inning for a 7-6 win to pull within one victory of a national championship. Fresno State (45-31) was 125-1 during the elimination rounds and fourth seed in the four-team Long Beach region. Fresno eliminated the nation’s No. 3 team Arizona State en route to the CWS. No team in CWS history has ever lost 30 or more games and gone on to win the national title.

Georgia (44-23-1), has had its own Cinderella run, coming back from a 6-7 start to the season to become the hottest team in the CWS. The Athens-based Bulldogs have won 10 of their last 11 games and boast the Chicago White Sox top draft pick in shortstop Gordon Beckham. It was Beckham’s 27th homer of the season with one aboard in the eighth that sparked the game-winning rally. Fresno State ousted CWS co-favorite North Carolina in three games and the feeling here is these California-based Bulldogs have at least one good game left. FRESNO.
