Yesterday’s results

At Hollywood Park we could only must four wins in the big pick six carryover that paid $328,874.80; now, that would have been a nice score. We did get some late scratch help which lowered our losses for the day. At Pleasanton, we were only able to hit our key tri in race five – it paid $55.20 for one dollar. We had a big scare in race six when running second and third, our horses that finished third was on the pace the entire race at 83-1.

Hollywood Park

Post Time 7:05 p.m.

Race 1

This is one of the worst cards of the meet and it may be a good idea to just go out and have a nice dinner. 2-3-4

Race 2

No. 3, Dice Afare, looks good on the drop for Cerin and Bejarano takes over. The main danger will come from our (Horses to Watch) HTW No. 8, Warren’s Cookie, she gets the best of the post positions and will have first run. 3-8

Key Play

$1 tri 3-8 with 3-8 with all for $12

$1 tri 3-8 with all with 3-8 for $12

Race 3

No. 3, Gone Californian, was claimed here off a nice win then was shipped to Golden Gate where she finished second and now is back here and lands in the stable of Frank Monteleone, she is the one to beat. No. 8, Early Anna, finds an easy spot and will be much better today. 3-8

Race 4

This is the second of three $25k maiden claimers and I have managed to narrow it down to three contenders with No. 1, Peace Prospect, turning back in distance an dropping her claiming price in half, No. 5, Dynaquake, has speed and sheds his blinkers for this and first time starter No. 9 Joshua’s Dream. 1-5-9

Key Play

$5 exacta box 1-5-9 for $30

Race 5

No. 2, Gray Black N White, a 7yo gelding drops in for $25k and 5½ furlongs, the last time he was at $25k and at 5½ f he took them wire to wire. His main danger may come from No. 3, Cape Town King, who ran some big numbers last year. 2-4

Race 6

No. 3, Ginobili, comes back in just seven days and is stretched out by trainer Roger Stein, he will try and take them wire to wire. Daddy Mandella has No. 1, Tulips Dandy, who will be coming from far back and kid Mandella has No. 5, Unvarnished, who will be tracking Ginobili from start to finish. 1-3-5

Race 7

No. 4, Overly Tempting, will be everyone’s single at odds on in here and we have seen of late what these odds on horses have been doing at Hollywood, chewing up everyone’s money, bet this one at your own risk but she looks to have these over a barrel, I will pass.

Race 8

This is the third of the $25k maiden claimers and this is one bad field which usually leads to a first time starter. Of the ones that have run No. 7, Cavanaugh, looks best finishing second last time out to Foul Play who came back to score again. No. 6, Kerzner, is back from Turf Paradise where he was running on the grass for a sharp barn he could be a live item. First time starter Peeka Budda is trained by the dangerous Brian Koriner and owned by Koriner and Lyons, this guy looks ready for a big effort. 6-7-10

Key Play

$5 exacta box 6-7-10 for $30

$1 tri box 6-7-10 for $6

$1 tri key 7 with 6-10 with all for $16

Race 3: 1-2-3

Race 4: 1-3-5

Race 5

No. 2, Cassie’s Mark, exits our HTW list and gets a great post, has her blinkers removed and at 7-2 we will bet. No. 2

Key Play

$20 win and place on No. 2 for $40

Race 6: 8-9-10

Race 7: 2-3-4-8

Race 8

No. 1, Sectaurs, may be overbet and was claimed last time out by Rene Amescua from Jerry Hollendorfer off a huge effort and now is double jumped in class; we will try and beat him with No. 4, Jamaicanmelate, who tumbles in class trying to win. No. 4

Race 9: 2-4

Race 10: 3-5
