Washington Nationals at Florida Marlins (-120, 9, LVH): If you’re an avid reader of GamingToday, and read Sports Editor’s Mark Mayer’s "On The Mark" column in last week’s issue, you know that the Nationals Tim Redding is absolutely dy-no-mite! In Redding’s starts, Washington has now gone 14-2 – you read it right – while the team has 34 total wins. With him pitching (and getting the plus) in Miami, it’s a no-brainer as this statistic is one of the most powerful in baseball. NATIONALS +110.
Oakland A’s at Los Angeles Angels (-125, 8½ -120, LVH): Oakland can’t seem to score runs lately. Ditto the Angels, who have scored zero runs in two games (at this writing) while the A’s are a tad better, scoring once in the last two games. Greg Smith (4-6, 3.69 ERA) gets the pill for Oakland while Jon Garland (7-4) throws for LAA. Smith’s first career start came against the Angels and he lost 2-0. Let’s not overanalyze this one too much and just bet the UNDER and make sure to get the number at 8½.
