Next Generation in Gambling 2008 set for July 29-30

Leaders in the gambling industry are featured at the first inaugural Generation in Gambling Conference. Here are some of the featured speakers.:

D.Brett Hale, Vice President, American Gaming Association, will look at the development of the UIGEA regulations that seem to be stuck in neutral. Various proposals are appearing as either regulatory alternatives to the law or attempts aimed at preventing it from being fully implemented. This roundtable discussion will explore where things are headed in the United States on legislative, law enforcement and regulatory avenues. Joining him will be J. Daniel Walsh, Greenberg Traurig, and Joseph Kelly, Ph.D. State University of New York College at Buffalo.

Further exploring exciting new opportunities in North American gambling and answering the tough industry questions, Alfonse D’Amato, of the Poker Players Alliance, opens the NGG inaugural event as keynote speaker. After three distinguished terms as a U.S. Senator, D’Amato has transitioned to the private sector, where as Chairman of the Poker Players Alliance, he is lobbying for the repeal of the Internet gambling ban.
