Horse Racing Betting Tips by Richard Saber |

Yesterday’s results

At Hollywood Park it looked like we were going to have a great day as we swept the first three races – our key horse in race two paid $19.80 with the double from race one to race two paying $113.40 for a $2 bet. We ran one-two-three in race three with the early pick three paying $329.70 for one dollar. However, it went down hill after that as we lost race four and our key play lost in race five, but one of our horses was a late scratch. We lost our key play in race six and our key horse in race seven never got the lead and faltered. We ran first and second in the last race. At Baze-anton or Pleasanton we had the winner in the first five races but they were very chalky. Our key play lost in race seven, even though we did have the winner. We ran one-two in race eight but lost the last race.

HOLLYWOOD PARK (post time 7:05 pm)

Race 1

No. 5, Albacore Bob, has been searching for a good spot and looks to have found a good one here with this weak field. No. 2, Fil’s Regen, looks to be part of the mix and 5½ furlongs will only help his chances. No. 4, Its in the Fringe, looks live at first asking for trainer Peter Miller. 2-4-5

Race 2

No. 6, Bea’s Cee, has been bet like a monster in her first two starts winning at 80¢ on the dollar in her last, she is the one to beat. No. 7, Filter, will offer some value and looks very live in here off the layoff, she won her one and only last year her at Hollywood. No. 4, Christiana’s Heat, has finished second five times on the grass and is a must use in the exotics. 4-6-7

Race 3

No. 9, Bob Benoit, appears best to hit the board in this very tough 25k maiden claimer. No. 10, Most Decorated, exits the same race as Bob, a race in which he was sent off as the 5/2 chalk. This will be the start of the pick six carryover as the track looks to have a two day carryover for the big 4th of July crowd, and I believe just looking at this card that they will have a good chance to get it. 9-10

Race 4

This one looks as tough as race three, in here No. 3, Preachintothechoir, gets turned back in distance to 6f the same distance and price of his last win, he may look to good in this race and his price will be no bargain. No. 4, Rockin Hoss, is 10/1 in the morning line and hasn’t been seen since 2006 at Philadelphia Park. He liked to win races back east and was running in good company, he show up here for trainer Sise who popped big time with one of these phily shippers just about a month ago. No. 9, Caddymaster, gets the best of the draw and this will be his second start here off the layoff, he has a nice closing kick and could pick up the pieces late. 3-4-9

Race 5

No. 3, Lang Field, will try and use his speed to take these wire to wire, if know one goes with this guy he will be long gone before they know what happened, if I had to single in the pick six I would take my shot here. No. 3

Race 6

This could be the pick six-breaker if some big long shot pops in here. The best horse in this race is No. 4, Dreams Afleet, a lightly raced filly out of the Cerin barn, she just did miss last time out in start No. 2. No. 10, Burnt, is troubled prone and if she don’t win today it could be all over for her in these parts as it looks like trainer Frankel has the for sale sign up just begging for someone to red tag her. If neither of these fillies win then it could be carryover time, this race is four ten over and out. 4-10

Race 7

No. 4, Within Reason, and No. 5, Ron Bob and Dave, will be fighting it out from start to finish and look one two in here. 4-5

Race 8

In here we have two HTW running against each other, the morning line favorite No. 5, Athenry, who exits the same race as our two horses in race three, Bob Benoit and Most Decorated so if either of those two win you can really take a big shot with this guy. Our other HTW is No. 9 Baby Gotham though a ten time loser has really got better since being stretched out. 5-7

PLEASANTON

Race 3

3-4

Race 4

No. 2, Rydell, ships into the Steve Sherman barn from Hollywood seeking career win No. 2 and looks to have these over a barrel. No. 2

Race 5

No. 7 Beamer Bee looks like 2/5 in here with Baze up. No. 7

Race 6

1-7-8

Race 7

No. 6, Armstrong Won, is listed at 6/1 in the morning line and I would love to get those odds or even 4/1 when they leave the gate. No. 6

Key Play

$20 win on No. 6 for $20

Race 8

1-6-8

Race 9

This looks like a two horse race with the chalk No. 1, Passive Income, who has Baze up and is listed at 2/1 in the morning line and will be shorter and No. 2, Suffolk Punch, who has a big shot at the upset, we will play a Q and make a win bet on Punch. 1-2

Key Play

$10 Q 1-2 for $10

$10 win on No. 2 for $10

Race 10

2-5
