Rays -110 vs Yankees (8)

Usually the Don Best Rotation is accurate regarding projected pitchers, but not in this case. DBR flip-flopped between Andy Pettitte and Sidney Ponson, but both and the Yankees knew all along it was Pettitte. And why not? The veteran lefty has always been a big-game pitcher and this is a major moment with the Yanks 8 games behind the first place Rays more than halfway through the season. Pettitte has a stellar 92-38 record at Yankee Stadium and 14-4 lifetime against Tampa Bay.

Yet Pettitte and the Yanks come in as a slight underdog to the upstart Rays and their ace Scott Kazmir. Tampa Bay is 9-3 behind Kazmir, but the lefty has not gone past the fifth inning in any of his last four starts. The Yanks were off Monday, while Tampa lost at home to Kansas City in 10 innings. If Yankee Stadium officials can avoid playing Madonna tunes between innings, well side with the team in need. YANKEES.
