Horse Racing Betting Tips by Richard Saber |

Hollywood Park

Race 1

The card at Hollywood is one bad card with very little to sink our teeth into; our best shot may be the early and late pick fours, and that will be our goal today. In this race No. 4, South Bay Scoty, has won both his starts sprinting on the cushion track this meet and he has already beat his main two of the remaining four hoses in this five horse field. Leading jockey Bejarano could have ridden the No. 1 but chose No. 2, Suit Yourself, who just may find himself on the front end today. 2-4

Race 2

No. 7, Sir Carson, looks to have found a field he can handle and the small drop in class and the fact that Espinoza stays on are all good signs for a trip to the winners circle. No. 4, Red Ticket, may be a little price in here, he just did miss one back at this distance, if he gets some pace up front his late kick may just get him home in this weak field. 4-7

Race 3

No. 5, Golden Rocketship, just did miss last time out at even money and if able to run back to that effort she will win. There are two first time starters with from good barns with decent works that just may have a shot at the upset, No. 7, Legacy North, and No. 9, Megahottie. We will single the Rocketship on one ticket and use all three on another ticket. 5-7-9

Race 4

No. 8, Bewitching Bartok, gets the best of the draw breaking from post position eight in this 6 ½ furlong sprint and his trainer and jockey stats stand out, he is the one they will have to beat. No. 4, Corporal Tillman, is the stranger danger, he comes here via Turf Paradise and may be live for a very sneaky operation who wins at a 43% clip. 4-8

Race 5

No. 3, Anzisong is the speed here in this 1 1/16 turf route and the speed has ruled on this rock hard grass course lately. No. 5, Dr Zaentz, got a horrible trip last time, if able to steer clear he will be making his big late move. No. 6, Brain the Bold, is the sucker of sukers finishing second four times and third three times from thirteen lifetime starts, he will be right there again but his win spirit is lacking. No. 4, Trulymet’smydaddy, is a comebacker from the Paddy Gallagher barn who broke his maiden on this course last year. 3-4-5-6

Race 6

This is one bad 32k maiden claimer, the lightly raced No. 7, Ata Honour, gets the services of Gomez for her first start on the cushion track and she may be best in here. No. 2, Alotta Wild, ran her best race at this 5 ½ furlong distance and Nakatani says he will give her a shot. It is give up time on No. 5, Gabby’s Hen, a 60k purchase, its now or never. 2-5-7

Race 7

In this five horse race the all look to have a chance so we will use all five and hope for a price. 1-2-3-4-5

Race 8

Trainer Herbert Bacon don’t win many but looks to have the winner in this race with No. 7 Brite Ruler who showed good speed in his first off the layoff and jockey Rosario stays aboard. No. 7

SOLANO

Race 3

If able to get 4/1 on No. 1, Miss Lonestar, this 7yo mare looks to have a very good shot at the upset, if overbet I would pass. No. 1

Race 4

If you have never been to Solano you should take a little trip if you can, it is a very lovely area and losts of good wine. No. 2, Roosevelt, takes a huge drop in class off the Miyadi claim as he looks to salvage some of that 10k that he claimed this guy for. No. 6, Imitation, drops off the win but trainer Morey has been firing all bullets so this 8yo could get him off to another good start here at SolaNo. 2-6

Key Play

$10 Q 2-6 for $10

$20 win No. 6 for $20

Race 5

Race 6

Trainer Mason has two entered and they are not coupled, when that happens he has a good percentage of winners and it is usually the higher priced horse. No. 3, Stars Belle, is listed at 10/1 in the morning line and No. 8, Formally Yours, is listed at 4/1, we will take our shot with Belle. No. 3

Key Play

$10 win and place No. 3 for $20

Race 7

The bottom drops out of No. 2, Salt Flat Speed, as he drops from a 32k maiden claimer to this 8k maiden claimer which is the bottom of the barrel. If he still has three legs he will go wire to wire, you cant bet on him but we will use him in the late pick three. No. 7, Come Home, is a first time starter who looks very live. 2-7

Race 8

No. 2 looks spotted for action. No. 4, High Prices, looks like a filly on the up-tick and may have found a nice spot for win number two. No. 6, Remember Seattle, ships in form Hollywood for trainer Sadler. 2-4-6

Race 9

This field is so bad that none of he ones that have run look to have any ability so we will single the Steve Miyadi first time starter No. 4, My Lady Rebel. No. 4

Key Play

$1 pick three for $6
